Daniel Walker is the Community Planning Extension Specialist for the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University and for the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant program.
Daniel collaborates with Purdue Extension staff, community leaders, stakeholders, and interest groups within the Great Lakes Region through programs that combine research-based tools with community-planning processes to help determine and achieve the public interest.
Daniel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and has five years of municipal planning and economic development experience with the city of Lafayette, Indiana.
He earned a master’s degree of urban and regional planning from Ball State University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Monmouth College. He is also a licensed secondary educator in the State of Illinois.
