Dr. Maria Marshall is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. Her research focuses on small business development and family business management. Her small and family business research is focused on areas such as the resource exchange between the household and the business, family business management and marketing. Her rural economic development research focuses on alternative enterprises, small farms and disaster recovery.
Dr. Marshall’s outreach and teaching programs seek to increase economic development through entrepreneurship. Her focus is on small business development via educational programs, aimed at increasing the number, viability and sustainability of small businesses.
