The Digital Ready program is designed to help small businesses learn to leverage online tools and services to grow their business. Workshops are designed to take about an hour and include a presentation from a trained Extension educator, activities and more.
The first portion of this workshop focuses on conducting an online presence assessment. Most people find your company for the first time online, so it’s important to conduct a web presence analysis of your business. During this class you will learn how to assess (and improve) your online presence by searching for your business as if you were a potential client in search of a product or service, and experiencing the first impression others experience when they click on one of your links.
The second hour of the workshop, “Claiming your Bubble,” participants learn about their online bubble and the most popular mapping platforms. Participants learn how claiming their business on these platforms impacts business. Time is provided to walk through claiming your business on one of the platforms together. Please bring your business Google account information and log in credentials for this hands-on portion of the workshop.
Before the workshop, please complete the pre-requisites. The pre-requisites take approximately 20-30 minutes each to complete and only need to be taken once:
