Purdue Extension is pleased to offer Navigating Difference, an intensive cultural competency training, on November 6-8, 2019. This is a professional development workshop for those who work across diversity in communities and want to improve their intercultural effectiveness. (It is not a train-the-trainer to learn to teach the program to others.)
The 3-day workshop will be held at Oakwood Resort, 702 E. Lake View Road, Syracuse, IN 46567.
Workshop dates and times are:
Wednesday, November 6, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern with homework in the evening
Thursday, November 7, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern with homework in the evening
Friday, November 8, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern
The cost of this retreat experience includes all meals from lunch on Day 1 through lunch on Day 3 and all materials and instruction for $450. The registration fee does not include lodging. Please make your hotel reservations separately with Oakwood Resort at 574-457-7100 prior to September 6, 2019. A block of rooms has been reserved that includes single or double-occupancy options for $89.00 per night. Please use the group code NDDCT when reserving a room.
When planning your travel to the workshop and Syracuse, Indiana, please note that Syracuse is on Eastern Standard Time.
Please register by Friday, October 18, 2019. Space is limited. Once capacity is reached, registration for the workshop will be closed.
